This week was all about attempting a first draft of the project proposal, looking at what needs to be included and in what order. I heard about Gantt charts for the first time - they look pretty handy, and I think useful for organising the tasks that lie ahead, as well as helping to communicate what I'm going to do and when I'm going to do it.

Prior to Friday's lecture, I've been using my time to read through some of the books I bought last week and do some further research online. All of my texts refer to drag, so I was surprised to come across 2 separate references to clownfish.
In their book 'Life as a Unicorn', Amrou Al-Kadhi talks about the gender fluidity of clownfish, and in the 1997 paper 'Unpacking priscilla: Subjectivity and identity in the organization of gendered appearance.', the authors discuss this little fish in their introduction. I liked that both of these texts had made this connection, and wondered if I could use it myself. Since reading about using symbols as a form of expression in week 3, I have been looking for what I could potentially use. It's a nice colour palette, if nothing else.
